Made in China Through Ice and Snow: CATHAYLIFT Tracked Boom Lift Rewrites Construction Rules in Siberia
In the Siberian winter, temperatures plummet to -35 degrees Celsius, posing a significant challenge to the maintenance of a wind power project's nacelle. The existing equipment's hydraulic system frequently froze, drastically reducing battery life and making high-altitude operations impossible. In this emergency, CATHAYLIFT's cold-weather customized tracked aerial work platform was deployed to the site.
This equipment was specifically upgraded for extreme cold environments, featuring an optimized steel structure to resist brittleness, a low-temperature hydraulic system using specialized hydraulic fluid, and a battery equipped with insulation, allowing for one-button start even at -40 degrees Celsius. The maintenance engineer was immediately impressed by its stability during his first operation: "At a wind farm 20 meters above the ground, the platform didn't shake at all, and the operational response was even more sensitive than at normal temperatures." He was even more pleasantly surprised by the modular design, which simplified maintenance and allowed for quick replacement of key components. Combined with the "remote inspection" service provided by the Chinese side, the platform operated without any malfunctions throughout the winter. After the project concluded, the Russian side immediately signed a long-term procurement agreement. CATHAYLIFT, with its extreme cold adaptability, successfully broke the monopoly of European and American brands in the local market.
