Innovating Within Constraints: CATHAYLIFT's Retrofit Achievement

In the suburbs of Romania's capital, a traditional warehousing company had been operating for over twenty years. With the rapid rise of the local e-commerce industry, the warehouse's original manual handling methods and outdated lifting equipment were completely inadequate to keep pace with the new business. During an internal meeting, management realized that without rapid modernization, they would lose the opportunity to compete with emerging rivals. Therefore, an efficient, safe, and adaptable floor-to-ceiling cargo transport system became the core of their upgrade plan.

After nearly two months of screening, they ultimately focused on CATHAYLIFT Hydraulic Cargo Lift. Compared to other brands, CATHAYLIFT's customization capabilities, structural stability, and adaptability to older factory buildings quickly set it apart. However, the client still had one major concern: could the complex floor structure and limited space of the old warehouse truly accommodate large lifting equipment?

To address this, the CATHAYLIFT engineering team immediately launched a technical assessment after receiving on-site videos, architectural drawings, and dimensional information. The team designed a reinforced support frame based on the location of the existing load-bearing beams in the factory building and developed a pitless installation plan, effectively avoiding the construction risks that traditional pit construction might bring. Engineers also created a 3D installation simulation diagram, allowing the client to intuitively understand the equipment's stability and compatibility on-site.

After the design plan was confirmed, the equipment entered expedited production. CATHAYLIFT strictly controlled the quality of key components such as cylinders, chains, and control systems during the manufacturing process and conducted multiple load tests to ensure the equipment could maintain long-term stable operation in high-frequency warehousing environments.

After the equipment arrived in Romania, the local installation team, under CATHAYLIFT's remote guidance, completed all installation and commissioning in just two days. During the initial startup, warehouse management saw goods smoothly rising from the first floor to the second floor-fast, low-noise, and smooth operation-and showed great satisfaction.

After the equipment was put into use, the efficiency of the warehouse's previously most congested floor transfer process nearly doubled. Palletized goods that used to pile up in the aisles during peak hours can now flow up and down quickly and orderly. This move not only improved overall operational efficiency but also significantly reduced the risks associated with manual handling.

In subsequent feedback, the project manager wrote, "CATHAYLIFT didn't just sell us a piece of equipment; they provided us with a complete, implementable solution. It's this professionalism that enabled us to complete our warehouse modernization upgrade at a low cost."

This collaboration further enhanced CATHAYLIFT's reputation in Eastern Europe and became a classic case study in local warehousing transformation projects.
