TechnoBuild, a French construction group and partner of a building restoration project in Paris, recently disclosed that the Chinese-made double-masted aluminum alloy elevator it purchased showed amazing potential in the restoration of ancient buildings. Emily Dupont, the project safety director, told reporters: "The safety and intelligent system of this equipment makes us rethink the risk management method of high-altitude work."
In the complex working environment of the Gothic spire, the three-dimensional environmental perception system equipped with the equipment gave the Dupont team a refreshing feeling. Unlike the passive protection of traditional machinery, the equipment can build a digital model of the working space in real time and automatically avoid obstacles such as flying buttresses. "Especially when dealing with rose windows, its fine-tuning function perfectly balances construction efficiency and cultural relic protection needs." The smart glove controller displayed by DuPont achieves precise control of "hand movements as commands" through tactile feedback, which completely changes the traditional button-type operation mode.
The French technical team was also amazed by the self-healing safety system of the equipment. In the recent sudden gusty weather, the equipment automatically started the environmental adaptation mode, and multiple sets of sensors worked together to instantly lock the hydraulic system. "This system is like an intelligent life form with conditioned reflexes, which starts the protection program three beats faster than manual judgment." Lucas, an on-site engineer, added that the ultra-quiet characteristics of the equipment's energy system make night construction no longer restricted by noise regulations.
The equipment has now passed the EU CE safety certification and has been selected into the French restoration equipment recommended list. DuPont finally revealed that its team is working with the Chinese R&D team to develop a special module for buildings: "When Eastern wisdom meets Europe's century-old construction skills, a new paradigm for high-altitude work safety is being created." This technical dialogue across Europe and Asia may reshape the safety standards of the global building maintenance industry.
