Recently, CATHAY successfully delivered a Crawler Manlift to Société Générale de Travaux (SGT), a well-known French engineering services provider. The Crawler Manlift has been officially deployed in a project involving the maintenance of municipal roads and the upgrading of stadium facilities in the suburbs of Paris. After a month of intensive practical application, Jean-Pierre, the SGT project manager, gave it high praise: "This is the most suitable aerial work platform we have ever used for European work environments; the balance between efficiency, safety, and comfort is perfect!"
As a leading French company specializing in municipal and stadium engineering, SGT had long faced challenges such as low efficiency in high-altitude operations and difficulties navigating complex terrain. In the Paris suburbs' street lighting upgrade project, traditional equipment was repeatedly delayed due to limitations imposed by narrow streets and the need to protect paved surfaces. CATHAY Crawler Manlift, with its 12-24m wide-area working height and articulated boom structure, allows workers to cover multiple streetlight locations without frequent relocation. Its non-marking track design avoids damage to asphalt and ensures smooth passage through complex terrain such as cobblestone streets. "Previously, three people could only complete eight streetlight maintenance sessions a day; now, two people working with this equipment can complete 15, nearly doubling the efficiency," added Jean-Pierre.
In a stadium roof ventilation system upgrade project, CATHAY Crawler Manlift's safety performance and user-friendly design left a deep impression on the construction team. Multi-zone stabilizers and a self-stabilizing system provided solid support during high-altitude operations, maintaining platform stability even in the face of slight gusts of wind; torque limiting devices and emergency descent hand pumps provided peace of mind for operators. "Our workers needed to perform welding operations at a height of 18 meters. The equipment's dual-drive speed adjustment and lateral slope alarm function completely eliminated our concerns about the risks of high-altitude operations," Jean-Pierre mentioned. He added that the basket rotation function allowed workers to work in all directions without moving their bodies, and the built-in power socket solved the problem of powering tools. "These detailed designs truly embody a people-oriented approach."
This collaboration stemmed from SGT's rigorous selection process for aerial work platform equipment in the European market. After comparing several international brands, CATHAY Crawler Manlift stood out due to its smooth wireless remote control, energy-saving automatic engine start-stop design, and multilingual interactive display features tailored to overseas users. "It not only meets our core needs for operational efficiency and safety but also demonstrates a deep understanding of the usage habits of overseas users in its details," said Jean-Pierre. He added that they will consider introducing CATHAY equipment into more municipal and stadium projects in the future.
CATHAY consistently adapts its technological innovations to meet global market demands. This high level of recognition from French customers is strong evidence of the precise match between its core product advantages and overseas market needs. Moving forward, CATHAY will continue to deepen its presence in overseas markets, providing global customers with more efficient, safe, and user-friendly aerial work platform solutions.
