How the CATHAYLIFT Cherry Picker Works: A Hydraulic Elevation System

The core working principle of the CATHAYLIFT cherry picker lies in its hydraulic lifting system. When the operator activates the control panel, hydraulic fluid is pressurized and pumped into the lift cylinder, causing the boom arm to extend smoothly upward. This allows the platform to rise steadily to the desired height.
Once the lift is powered on, the user can control movement using a joystick or panel interface. This sends signals to the hydraulic pump, which distributes fluid into the lifting cylinders. As the cylinders expand, the boom arm extends-either in a straight (telescopic) or jointed (articulated) motion, depending on the model.
The platform remains balanced during operation due to the chassis's outriggers and stabilizers, which automatically adjust to terrain changes. During descent, the system releases pressure in a controlled manner to prevent sudden drops. Some models also include electric motors for indoor operation, reducing noise and emissions while maintaining lifting power. The platform remains balanced during operation due to the chassis's outriggers and stabilizers, which automatically adjust to terrain changes.
